Why can’t I save my credit or debit card?

Updated over a week ago

If you’re having trouble saving a payment card, try the steps below. Most card-save issues are caused by temporary connectivity, security limits, or verification problems.

Step 1: Double-check the card details

Make sure the following information is entered exactly as it appears on the card statement:

  • Card number

  • Expiration date

  • CVV

  • Billing ZIP code

Even small typos or extra spaces can prevent a card from being saved.

Step 2: Check your connection

Card saves require a stable connection.

  • Try turning Wi-Fi off and using cellular data, or vice versa

  • Make sure you have a strong signal before trying again

Step 3: Log out and back in

Logging out and back in can refresh your account session.

  • Log out of the app

  • Close the app completely

  • Open the app and log back in

  • Try saving the card again

Step 4: Update or reinstall the app

If the issue continues:

  • Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app

  • If needed, uninstall and reinstall the app from the App Store or Google Play

Reinstalling can resolve cached or corrupted data that interferes with saving cards.

Step 5: Wait before trying again

If you’ve tried to add or edit a card multiple times in a short period, your account or bank may temporarily block additional attempts for security reasons.

If this happens:

  • Wait up to 24 hours

  • Then try saving the card again

Still not working?

If you’re still unable to save your card after trying the steps above, you can:

  • Try using a different credit or debit card, or

  • Use Guest Checkout to pay for parking without saving a card to your account
